PSRN Student Chapter – BPKIHS
The students’ chapter was formed in BPKIHS in the year 2007 by a group of students who believed in need for all health professionals to be socially responsible and accountable in order to preserve and promote social health. We have formed student circle that share similar ideas and share commitment to theme of IPPNW and PSRN. We are advocating social justice, which can only be achieved with equitable distribution of resources and people’s participation in decision making. We prefer to maintain and promote health rather than only focusing in cure of disease. We are conducting various awareness programs and intellectual discourse in community and institute, as per theme of our movement.
IPPNW is a non-partisan federation of national medical groups in 64 countries, representing tens of thousands of doctors, medical students, other health workers, and concerned citizens who share the common goal of creating a more peaceful and secure world freed from the threat of nuclear annihilation.
Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR) has been working for more than 50 years to create a healthy, just and peaceful world for both the present and future generations. PSR advocates on the issues you care about by addressing the dangers that threaten communities, using our medical and public health expertise to:
- Prevent nuclear war and proliferation
- Reverse our trajectory towards climate change
- Protect the public and our environment from toxic chemicals
- Eliminate the use of nuclear power
