The May Measurement Month 2026 campaign has successfully concluded, marking the completion of a month-long community health screening and awareness initiative aimed at the early detection of hypertension and diabetes.
Conducted at Ghantaghar, Bhanuchowk, the program provided free health screening services, including blood pressure measurement, blood sugar testing, serum creatinine testing, and medical consultation. Throughout the campaign, healthcare professionals and volunteers worked tirelessly to promote awareness regarding non-communicable diseases and the importance of regular health check-ups.
Program Highlights
During the campaign, a total of 604 individuals were screened.
Key Findings
- Total participants screened: 604
- Individuals with elevated blood pressure: 142
- Individuals with elevated random blood glucose levels: 63

These findings underscore the importance of regular health screening, as a significant number of participants were identified with risk factors that may otherwise have gone undetected.
Impact of the Campaign
May Measurement Month serves as a reminder that hypertension and diabetes often remain silent for years before causing serious complications such as heart disease, kidney disease. Through early detection and appropriate counseling, many participants were made aware of their health status and advised on necessary follow-up care and lifestyle modifications.
