Childrens' Day 2020
Every Year, September 14 is celebrated as Children's Day. Celebrating Children's Day is about giving children the right to enjoy and grow into healthy and educated citizens of the country. If you can teach your child the value of sharing with others what they are lucky to have, then not only your child will grow into a responsible human being, but also help others be one.
Childhood is a very important phase of everyone's life. It is a transition from innocence and playfulness, joy and freedom, to responsibility and thoughtfulness. What a person becomes in the future depends on what he learns during his childhood. Let's teach our children their rights and responsibilities. Let's not wait for children's day but celebrate everyday as children's day by teaching them something fruitful.

To preserve life, to prevent further injury and to promote recovery are the key guiding principles and purpose of first aid.
As an emergency can arise anytime and anywhere it is very important for all of us to have knowledge on firstaid.

Suicide Prevention Day 2020
Slogan for this year: "Working together to prevent suicide"
Suicide is a desperate attempt to escape suffering that has become unbearable. Blinded by feelings of self-loathing, hopelessness, and isolation, a suicidal person can’t see any way of finding relief except through death. But despite their desire for the pain to stop, most suicidal people are deeply conflicted about ending their own lives. They wish there was an alternative to suicide, but they just can’t see one.
Suicide prevention starts with recognizing the warning signs and taking them seriously. If you think a friend or family member is considering suicide, there’s plenty you can do to help save a life.
Here, we present a short awareness video on "suicide prevention" Lets unite together to prevent suicide.

A day dedicated to Hypertension
COVID 19 Pandemic has made a global impact on health and on our lifestyle as well. The whole country is in lockdown. We are bounded with the four corners of our home. Staying indoors can protect against the coronavirus, but social isolation and inactivity can pose other health risks. Hypertension can be one of them.
Keeping this in account, PSRN BPKIHS dedicated May 17 to Hypertension. We successfully conducted Quizipedia on hypertension with the aim to increase the awareness on hypertension among medical students. Our members conducted a blood pressure measurement campaign within their own premises to create a general awareness on regular BP screening despite this period of crisis.
With this we would also like to urge our readers to develop a habit of regular blood pressure screening.
#StayActive #StayHealthy #StaySafe #CheckYourPressure
PS: The World Hypertension League (WHL) has announced that it will postpone the celebration of World Hypertension Day (WHD) 2020 until October 17, 2020.
E-Poster and Artistic Poster Competition Announced
Social distancing. It is a phrase that has entered our urban dictionary, just as coronavirus and Covid-19 have become common words. While we stay at home to fight against this global pandemic, this isolation can quickly become a downer for those used to socializing. Staying productive at home can take a little extra effort. We, PSRN BPIKHS, have come up with this Inter - Medical College Poster Competition on the theme “Social Distancing - Prevention is better than Cure” to help you utilize this leisure time at home.

Working Together to Prevent Suicide
PSRN BPKIHS will be utilizing the power of social media to help prevent suicide and create awareness worldwide. We have designed a facebook profile picture frame for this event. Our members will be uploading informative suicide prevention awareness post along with useful infographics.
Every life lost represents someone’s partner, child, parent, friend or colleague. For each suicide approximately 135 people suffer intense grief or are otherwise affected. This amounts to 108 million people per year who are profoundly impacted by suicidal behaviour. Suicidal behaviour includes suicide, and also encompases suicidal ideation and suicide attempts. For every suicide, 25 people make a suicide attempt and many more have serious thoughts of suicide.
